Beckett made this this morning to hang on his hospital room door. Later today, the nurses and hospital staff will be delivering Valentine’s Day cards made by staff members for the kids.
Some brief updates on Beckett’s condition:
• Staff, including doctors, nurses and specialists, have cleared Beckett for transfer to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Phoenix, where he is set to begin an intensive, estimated 7-14 day inpatient rehabilitation program.
• They hope to transfer today; but depending on many issues, including getting insurance clearance and getting an open bed, transfer could take a day or two.
• Beckett did a complete l0op around his floor this morning using a walker. He also got outside and sat in the sun.
• We’re working on a logo for the site; coming soon – because there isn’t enough to do – all kinds of goodies, including Bacon and Candy T-shirts, key chains and other stuff will be available, with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to the Toy Closet at Cardon Children’s Medical Center (it’s a big closet full of toys that the kids get to go to after they’ve gone through a real crappy test or procedure).
I’ve included a video of Beckett’s skillz with a walker below. Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! – Ed, Heidi, Beckett and Brody
Ed, This is great. I am so glad to hear that things are turning around. You and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers.
