Revision!!!

Beckett has made such significant progress in the last 24 hours that the doctors now estimate he will tentatively be able to come home on Tuesday! Exciting!

Swamped at work. Plan to write more later tonight.

I am sending a small package this weekend…where would you advise I send it? The good news above is making me rethink my original destination.

I’ve written professionally about politics, utilities, crime and dabbled in creative writing most of my adult life. In 2011, and again in 2017, my son was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre, a rare disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the nervous system. He’s recovered twice. Both times, this blog became both a way to communicate universally with those who cared about him; but also as a place for me to cope with the fear and uncertainty of serious illness.

I’m still trying to understand what it all means – the love, the pain, the sadness, the demons, the joy – we encounter daily. Somethings I write those thoughts out, in all their random forms. That’s what you get here.
